Last weekend was Evelyn's second big dance recital! This year she took Jazz/Hip Hop, and learned lots of great new moves...
Here's her costume, minus the jacket (can't blame her in the 90 degree heat!)
Her routines this year were to "Shake it Off" and "GDFR." I didn't get very good videos at the dress rehearsal (plus Evelyn was kind of in a mood and not very chipper). However SOMEONE captured this bootleg video of the hip hop routine at the actual recital ;)
On Sunday we went to Yorkville to celebrate cousin Victoria's confirmation. Lots of fun in the sun!
This one is really getting the hang of posing for pictures.
Croquet with Grandpa Wally
Victoria and her friends were nice enough to let Evelyn join the volleyball game.

Cheesin'!
Alexandra very patiently trying to teach Evelyn how to jump rope...
We had a great time celebrating Evelyn's birthday (three times!)
Birthday morning, Evelyn opened some gifts and we had donuts and juice, per her request.
For the budding fashion designer...
Nail art studio!
The birthday girl wouldn't pose by the balloons, but her sister would!
Evelyn's other birthday request was to "play outside." She decided the arboretum would be a good place...
On Saturday Evelyn celebrated her birthday with extended family, along with Papa's 65th birthday and Uncle Dan's college graduation.
Evelyn got to pick the cupcakes--she asked for chocolate and vanilla with blue and white frosting. Cousin Melanie even added glitter and My Little Pony toppers :)
On Sunday we had our neighborhood buddies over for some bouncing and a barbecue!

Evelyn loves being both a real and pretend big sister
Uncle Frank and Auntie Kirsten were in town!
Daddy and Annalie waiting for Evelyn's preschool performance to begin...
Evelyn was in rare form for these songs! I don't have an adequate picture to convey just how energetic she was... and by energetic, I mean singing loudly, jumping everywhere, and being a huge ham.
Last day of preschool! It was also field day, and Evelyn was really excited to get to stay for the entire day.
