Christmas Eve

We had a great Christmas Eve with Grandpa Wally, Grandma Marilyn, and Auntie Maureen!
Annalie (despite being diagnosed with a double ear infection and pinkeye that morning), was in good spirits, and was mesmerized by the tree.

"I'm waiting for food."

After dinner it was time for presents! Evelyn was recruited by Aunt Maureen to help sort all the gifts; a job she took very seriously.

This ladybug toy is a big hit (and not just with the baby)

Enjoying delicious chocolate cake

When we got home, we said goodbye to Cardinal the elf.... Santa was on his way....

8 months

Annalie turned 8 months old last week!

She's crawling...
 ... and sitting...

and as always, loving her big sister!

Getting Festive

Christmas time is here! Evelyn loved decorating the tree, and had strong opinions where each ornament should go.

Annalie was less impressed. She really liked (chewing!) the lights, until I got them out of her reach.

Budding photographer. I should see how this turned out on her camera..

Santa is everywhere!

7 months

Don't you just want to squeeze those cheeks?

Annalie is now 7 months old, and she has a couple of teeth to show off!
Speaking of showing off, she also has several new moves.
Such as this.
 And this
 And this one, too.
We're still working on the business of sitting up. This girl is a mover!
 Annalie adores her big sister.

 Uh oh...
 And finally, Dog.

Leaves, leaves, and more leaves

As the temperatures dropped, so did the thousands of leaves off our trees...

Everyone enjoyed leaf mountain!

The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway

After begrudgingly dressing in several layers, Evelyn was ready to trick or treat!

We met up with our neighborhood friends.

 These kids were troopers!

Annalie joined for about half the block :)
Happy Halloween!

Pumpkins and Parade

What luck to get such a beautiful end of October weekend!

The town parade was on Sunday. Evelyn was one of many (many, many) Elsas.

Annalie was a cute little cupcake (though she didn't last long at the parade).

We finished the weekend by carving our jack o'lanterns, specific to Evelyn's  requests (one happy, one grumpy; she described the shapes of all the facial features--"a smile like this" [she smiles] "a mouth like this [makes zigzag with hand], like thunder!")
