Last weekend was Evelyn's second big dance recital! This year she took Jazz/Hip Hop, and learned lots of great new moves...
Here's her costume, minus the jacket (can't blame her in the 90 degree heat!)
Her routines this year were to "Shake it Off" and "GDFR." I didn't get very good videos at the dress rehearsal (plus Evelyn was kind of in a mood and not very chipper). However SOMEONE captured this bootleg video of the hip hop routine at the actual recital ;)
On Sunday we went to Yorkville to celebrate cousin Victoria's confirmation. Lots of fun in the sun!

Evelyn's other birthday request was to "play outside." She decided the arboretum would be a good place...
On Saturday Evelyn celebrated her birthday with extended family, along with Papa's 65th birthday and Uncle Dan's college graduation.
Evelyn got to pick the cupcakes--she asked for chocolate and vanilla with blue and white frosting. Cousin Melanie even added glitter and My Little Pony toppers :)
On Sunday we had our neighborhood buddies over for some bouncing and a barbecue!
