The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway

After begrudgingly dressing in several layers, Evelyn was ready to trick or treat!

We met up with our neighborhood friends.

 These kids were troopers!

Annalie joined for about half the block :)
Happy Halloween!

Pumpkins and Parade

What luck to get such a beautiful end of October weekend!

The town parade was on Sunday. Evelyn was one of many (many, many) Elsas.

Annalie was a cute little cupcake (though she didn't last long at the parade).

We finished the weekend by carving our jack o'lanterns, specific to Evelyn's  requests (one happy, one grumpy; she described the shapes of all the facial features--"a smile like this" [she smiles] "a mouth like this [makes zigzag with hand], like thunder!")

End of an Era

We had to say goodbye to a beloved family member.

It wasn't easy, but it was time. Jax was 16 years old, and we like to think he lived a pretty good life.

After Jax's many adventures, it was simply old age that finally caught up with him.

We will miss you, Jax. We know you are living it up in dog heaven, probably with a big plate of nachos, a sunny bed to sleep on, and countless squirrels to chase. We love you, and we will never forget you!

Half Birthday

How did this happen?

Annalie is 6 months old! She is getting even better at rolling, and she even manages to scoot just a tiny bit. Sitting is proving to be more of a challenge, since she'd much rather eat her toes than actually practice sitting up :)
Updated: her 6 month stats!
17 lbs, 1 oz (68th percentile)
26" long (53rd percentile)
16.5" head circumference (40th percentile)

Annalie had her first taste of applesauce, and Evelyn was so excited to get to feed her. And right on cue, two little teeth are working their way up. I predict a much pearlier grin for next month's pictures!

Annalie's Baptism

Yesterday Annalie was baptized! She was adorable and full of smiles in the antique heirloom gown. Family traveled from near and far to join us in the celebration.

Uncle Frank and Auntie Tessa agreed to be Annalie's sponsors :)

All of these ladies have been baptized in the same gown.

A few more group shots...

Evelyn and Hadleigh... "She's my favorite sister," Evelyn declares.

Sisters and Sand

I don't think I'll ever get tired of these shots :)
We were just hanging out in the backyard recently, and it seemed like a great time to take some pictures. How can I resist, with such cuties??

Evelyn invented a new game: spinning sand.

Love these two!
