Evelyn took her first trip to the dentist last week! She did a great job. She got to touch all the fun tools and play with the light. She also got to go for a ride in the chair. Can you tell they had Daniel Tiger on the tv??
After all this, the wonderful hygienist was even able to clean her teeth (as long as she could still see that tv!).
She got to pick a new toothbrush, and a toy from the treasure chest.
The dentist may have noticed that she is still a paci addict (only at bedtime though!)... We knew it needed to go soon. So we explained to Evelyn that pacifiers are for babies who don't have their teeth yet. We also ordered some very enticing bribes to get her to trade the pacifier for... but guess what? That awesome stuff is still in the boxes! That same night--no bribing necessary--she told Daddy at bedtime "the baba makes my teeth crooked!" And she hasn't asked for it since :)
Sadly, naps have gone to the dogs... But she continues to sleep wonderfully at night.
