A Party-Filled Weekend

The weekend after Christmas was filled with even more celebrations....

On Saturday, we traveled to Naperville and saw lots of cousins.

Hadleigh really liked Aunt Amy's nativity scenes.

 Some questionable smiles, but at least they are all in the same place!

 Ring around the rosy was enjoyed by all.

On Sunday, we had one last celebration with the Nelsons

 And on Tuesday, the girls and I cleared out of the house while our new furnace was being installed.

Christmas Day

We had even more fun on Christmas morning! Annalie was up bright and early... Evelyn was not.

And by the time Evelyn was awake, Annalie was about ready for a nap!

 Evelyn LOVED opening presents this year!

In the afternoon, we had the Almquists and Johnsons over.

 We enjoyed presents, good food, and dessert of course :)

Christmas Eve

We had a great Christmas Eve with Grandpa Wally, Grandma Marilyn, and Auntie Maureen! 

Annalie (despite being diagnosed with a double ear infection and pinkeye that morning), was in good spirits, and was mesmerized by the tree.

"I'm waiting for food."

After dinner it was time for presents! Evelyn was recruited by Aunt Maureen to help sort all the gifts; a job she took very seriously.

When we got home, we said goodbye to Cardinal the elf.... Santa was on his way....

8 months

Annalie turned 8 months old last week! 

She's crawling...

and as always, loving her big sister!

Getting Festive

Christmas time is here! Evelyn loved decorating the tree, and had strong opinions where each ornament should go. 

Annalie was less impressed. She really liked (chewing!) the lights, until I got them out of her reach.

7 months

Don't you just want to squeeze those cheeks? 

 Annalie is now 7 months old, and she has a couple of teeth to show off!
