Happy President's Day! We had a fun weekend, and it was even nicer that we were all off on Monday.
On Saturday, we went to the Skokie Exploratorium. Not too far, and only $5.... We will definitely be back!
When Evelyn woke up from her nap on Sunday afternoon, we were a little stumped on what to do until she requested, "Walk. Coat. Hat." So, we bundled up and took Jax around the block.
On Monday we were glad to see the rain out of the forecast for the morning, so we headed to Lincoln Park Zoo. It was a beautiful, almost spring-like day, and the zoo was pretty empty.
Evelyn definitely notices the animals now, although many of them are "care " (scary). Acceptable animals included the small monkeys, the ostriches, the rabbit, the ducks, and the tiger (until he started roaring). The most scary animals by far were the cows and gorillas.
After the zoo we had a yummy lunch at the Athenian Room, where Evelyn enjoyed dipping Greek fries into tzatziki.

Tea for Two
A few weeks ago we celebrated Auntie Tessa and her soon-to-come baby girl with a tea party baby shower! Evelyn was very thoughtful and took a nice long nap, but she did get up in time to enjoy some presents, dessert, and fun with her Auntie :)
The delicious spread!

Helping Auntie Tessa open her gifts, and helping mommy write everything down...
Having fun!
We are so excited for Baby Johnson to come in April (or March!)
