Fun December weekends

Here are some of our activities from the past couple weekends.

We really enjoyed having baby Hadleigh and her parents in town for Thanksgiving!

There's Still Time

A couple weeks ago we had a very early meeting with Santa at a local garden center. Evelyn was excited and all smiles... until it was actually her turn!

 If you couldn't tell from Santa's face, she burst into tears :(

 Sitting with Daddy was sort of ok. 

Santa's reindeer were much less frightening. 

Good thing we still have over a month to get her on team Santa!

Leaf Pile

With such beautiful weather yesterday (and with a yard full of leaves), it was clearly time to get our favorite model out for a leaf pile photo shoot. She was happy to oblige! From jumping, to throwing to belly flopping, she had a great time!

But our landscaping did get a makeover!

This poor ash tree had to go--boo to the borer. All the other trees needed some cleaning up as well.

Apples!

Last weekend we drove out to Malta, IL to go apple picking! It was a beautiful day, and we all had fun. 

"Cheers!" with apple cider donuts, of course. 

It was hard to remember to twist the apples instead of yanking them.

After we were done picking, we headed to the play area.

Silo full of dried corn kernels--we found a few in her diaper later that day ;)

Feeding the animals

She couldn't wait to "jump on the bed..." until we got out there and she couldn't stay on her feet! This didn't last long; we'll try again next year.

Now we have to figure out what to make with all these apples!
