Arboretum

This weekend we visited the Children's Garden at the Morton Arboretum. It was a beautiful day, and Evelyn enjoyed anything water-realted. Oh, and sharing Dad's pretzel.

Oops, looks like it's been awhile since we've posted an update! It's been a very busy month, and the camera has been gathering dust. We can share a few iphotos, though :)

Water play is serious business

Evelyn has definitely grown into a toddler. She had her 15 month appointment, and she now weighs 24 lbs. 13 oz. and is 31.5 inches tall. She walks, runs, and climbs. She talks! Her words so far are dog, bubbles, ball, more, thank you, hi, & bye (still waiting on mama and dada). Evelyn can point to her nose and her "beep beep" (belly button). She also has 12 teeth--only 8 more to go, thank goodness. Evelyn is quite observant and is starting to copy. If you hand her mom's face lotion, hair brush or deodorant she knows exactly what to do with them!

We have been visiting lots of playgrounds. Evelyn's favorites are the swing and anything that requires her to climb stairs. Here's a little clip of her stair climbing and dancing. 

Wide Open Spaces (& 15 months!)

This weekend we travelled to Ottowa, IL to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Eveyln's Great Aunt Dorothy and Great Uncle Seaver.

We spent the afternoon having lunch, playing outside, and spending time with family.
